BRC Exterior Painting Process

Step 1 - Power Wash and Clean

Step 1 - Power Wash and Clean

We employ a combination of manual and power washing techniques to eliminate stains, dirt, mildew, and debris from your house's surface before initiating the exterior painting process. This meticulous preparation enhances paint adhesion and significantly extends the paint's lifespan.

Step 2 - Prep

Step 2 - Prep

BRC prepares the exterior of the home by:

Removing Loose Paint: Scrape off any loose or peeling paint using a paint scraper or a wire brush. Sand the rough edges to create a smooth surface for the new paint to adhere to.

Repairing Damaged Surfaces: Fill any cracks, holes, or gaps in the walls with a suitable exterior-grade filler or caulk. Repair any damaged or rotten wood, and replace any deteriorated or missing siding or trim.

Priming the Surface: Apply a high-quality primer to the entire exterior surface to create a uniform base for the paint and promote better adhesion. This step is especially important for bare wood or surfaces with stains or discoloration.

Protecting Surrounding Areas: Cover plants, shrubs, and other landscaping elements near the house with drop cloths or plastic sheeting to protect them from paint splatter. Remove or cover any outdoor furniture or fixtures as needed.

Masking and Taping: Use painter's tape to mask off areas that should not be painted, such as windows, doors, and trim. This helps create clean, precise paint lines and prevents paint from spreading onto unwanted surfaces.
